The Ethnography Museum of the Pilsen Region (Národopisné muzeum Plzeňska) has been developing from 1911. Today it is a part of The Museum of West Bohemia. Nowadays, its collection consists of more than 76.000 exhibits documents life from the Middle Ages till present. The exposition, which is situated in the historical houses - Chotěšovský and Gerlachovský, is showing the evolution of the interiors of burghers' houses from 1500 to the first third of the 20th century. It also has got the original “black kitchen” from the beginning of the 19th century, a rural sitting-room from the Pilsen region. There is an exposition of pharmacy made in Art Noveau style in Gerlachovský house. There is the only one Renaissance balcony in Chotěšovský house in Pilsen. It is situated in a courtyard.
